iPad Getting Started Information for Teachers
How do I unlock the cart?
See Tech Dept for the code. DO NOT tell students or anyone else this password. After unlocking, scramble the numbers so students can’t figure out what the numbers are.
Can I charge devices charging devices?
Can I purchase OR download paid or free apps on my own? No, you may NOT purchase/download any free or paid apps with the school account OR with a personal Apple ID. If you want an app on your iPad, please talk to the Tech Coach.
Can my students take home devices?
No. Students may NOT take them home. Take inventory of devices before students go home to make sure they are all accounted for in your cart. Lock them at the end of day.
What’s the policy on charging devices? Who? When? Students must be taught how to charge devices before they are allowed to plug them in. Do NOT charge devices daily. It’ll kill the battery faster if you do this. Set a percentage (ex: 20% or lower) and students may charge then. Otherwise, they just put them in their slot and do NOT charge them.
